The I-Represent International Documentary Film Festival (i-Rep) is an annual event dedicated to promoting awareness of the power of the documentary film for social and cultural education. The IREP aims to introduce young filmmakers to the many opportunities documentary production offers, and examines the impact of documentary production in a developing society/economy. Activities at the festival cover a wide spectrum of knowledge areas and interest, and include film screenings, which are very popular, with as many as six daily showings over the 4-day period. There are also opportunities for training, workshops, paper presentations and networking for filmmakers and professionals in the film industry. If you visit Lagos in March, the iREP Film Festival is not to be missed.
